Join UsCrail Rowing Club is a small friendly coastal rowing club with members that enjoy rowing the waters around Crail and competing in events around Scotland.
We welcome new members of all ages (18+) and abilities who are keen to learn to row (or develop their technique if they have rowed before) and improve their fitness. Previous experience is not essential, however a basic level of fitness is required. Junior members may be accepted, if accompanied by a parent who is also a club member. If you live in Crail or the surrounding area and are interested in joining the club, please send us a short message on Facebook or the "Contact Us" page on this website. You will then be invited to come out in the boat with a crew of experienced rowers. This will be a short outing to introduce the basics of safety and moving the oar in the right direction! The fee for annual membership is £45 (or £30 for students). We appreciate that it might take a couple of outings for you to decide whether you want to join, so newcomers can take advantage of one or two free outings before you make a commitment. As a member of CRC we hope that you will not only improve your rowing ability and fitness, but also make friends and enjoy the team spirit of fellow rowers. In return, members are expected to contribute in some way or another to the smooth running of the club, such as helping with boat maintenance, fundraising, participating in events and generally mucking in. Further information for new and prospective members can be found here. Please use the form on this page to give us your details and we will follow up. |
